Description: Here is a splendid little classic from 1979, produced by Harold Lime and directed by Robert McCallum. As is usual with "Golden Age" classics, the plot, acting, exterior shots and general production values are outstanding. This flick was shot on location in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe and San Francisco. They don't make them like this anymore.
Jamie Gillis plays a washed up B-movie star who is down on his luck. He has been reduced to escorting starlets to movie premieres, a service for which his agent pays him a few bucks plus expenses. He still makes the rounds of Hollywood parties, however, and at one such event, his host, J.C. Church, observes him seducing Desiree Cousteau. It is a hypnotic scene; Cousteau was a beautiful girl with wonderful, natural breasts. Georgina Spelvin secretly observes them, while being secretly observed herself by J.C.
Church telephones Gillis that night with an interesting proposition. J.C. is the brother of Edgar Church, a rich industrialist from whom J.C. stands to inherit money. Edgar Church also has a sister and four daughters, however, and their shares of the estate will substantially dilute J.C.'s expected take. J.C. has a plan. It seems that Edgar is a puritan and would be shocked if he knew how his sister and daughters really live. J.C. believes that if he can get film of the five ladies in compromising positions, Edgar will cut them out of the will, leaving everything for J.C. So J.C. offers Gillis $100,000 to do the job, and Gillis can't turn down this kind of money. Gillis immediately involves his two buddies, John Leslie and Paul Thomas, and they all set out to seduce the women and get them on film.
There's some amazingly good stuff here, stuff that has stood the test of time for 20 years. The Gillis/Cousteau scene is a scorcher, as is the scene between Gillis and Georgina Spelvin, who plays J.C. and Edgar's sister. Serena plays two of the sisters, twins. (Watch for some trick photography at the party, where two Serena's appear in the same shot.) If you don't remember Serena, and how hot she was, you're in for a delightful treat. There's a really interesting S/M scene with Serena and Gillis that shows more rough play than you typically see in an explicit feature.

In the mid-seventies, "women's liberation" was always in the news. This movie starred Roxanne Brewer, sent undercover to infiltrate a colony of radical feminist lesbians.
It also stars Uschi Digart, and Debbie McGuire (Super Eula from Russ Meyer's Supervixens) and brief appearances by Candy Samples.
This movie has special meaning to me, it was the first dirty movie I ever saw, at the Olympic drive-in theater in St. Louis. I wasn't old enough to get in, so my older buddies smuggled me in the car's trunk. The opening sequence, with the guy feeling up Roxanne was an eye-opening experience, I had never seen tits so big, and I've been a tit man ever since.
It was also one of my first experiences with hard liquor; I thought I could keep up drink for drink with the guys. I couldn't, and passed out cold shortly after Roxanne's horseback scene in the first 1/2 hour. I have been hunting for this movie ever since, and 33 years later, for the first time, I finally get to finish what I missed.

Myriam (Diana De Koning) is the nymphomaniac wife of a wealthy older man. Living a life of unlimited luxury in a gorgeous countryside villa (actually the property of a well-known and subsequently seized Dutch criminal), she entertains both men and women with complete disregard for any personal feelings that they might develop for her. Herein lies the problem I've always had with this film. While director and star frequently defended their movie as being more sensitive and "female-friendly" than the average porno, it cannot be denied that this central character though liberated is a particularly unsympathetic and even obnoxious woman. On the other hand, it's somewhat refreshing that she's not punished for being a "bitch". A former lover attempts to kidnap her but she manages to reason with him, allowing her to return to her private pool for an underwater romp with both of the film's well-endowed male leads, the film's most erotic sex scene. Incidentally, the curly-haired blonde guy (credited as "Richard Wildens" but whose real first name was Sander) was Diana De Koning's real life boyfriend at the time. Her casting in the lead role was a fluke as she just accompanied him to the set with no thoughts of starring in the film herself. A natural actress, she ended up as the movie's most enduring asset. Self-assuredly stomping all over anyone foolish enough to offer her his (or, in one case, her) heart, she imbues Myriam with an ebullient vitality so you begrudgingly admire her to some extent even as you don't really like her. As an ironic footnote, Diana had to split her wages with her boyfriend who received none for his "stud duties" here!
